Jeff Rivers

Jeff Rivers is an African-American artist and educator from Columbia, SC who works to empower minority groups through social-impact art programs and creative installations. Jeff recently finished his MFA degree at University-Illinois Chicago with a concentration in social justice and economic studies. Jeff’s goal as an artist is to build bridges of empathy and understanding within his community while empowering individuals to seek intellectual and economic growth for themselves. As such, Jeff expands his creative practice to youth and adult education programs, in addition to serving as an educator in the Chicago school system.
